Background
Mr. Rodrigo Pinto, General Manager of Tecno Truss, was introduced to the Scottsdale steel frame and truss manufacturing technology at the IBS Builders Show in Florida. Mr. Pinto saw the Scottsdale steel rollforming machines manufacturing steel frames at the show as well as live software demonstrations.
Mr. Pinto and Tecno Truss had been looking for an alternative to building with traditional wood frames and trusses in Chile.
Following the show Mr. Pinto and other Tecno Truss executives visited a production plant in Denton Texas employing the Scottsdale Steel Frame and Truss Technology and viewed live design, live manufacturing and construction sites.
After a meticulous process of analysing, evaluating Scottsdale’s technology, Tecno Truss purchased the Series 700 90mm Panelised Fabrication System, and a Series 600 Truss Fabrication System.

A Total Solution Package Provided
Scottsdale arranged for the necessary steel, fixings, brackets, tools and consumables to be shipped from the United States to Chile to provide Tecno Truss with a Total Solution Package and enable Tecno Truss to immediately be able to undertake projects.
A Scottsdale team commissioned and trained Tecno Trusses staff on both design, engineering and manufacturing of light gauge steel frames and trusses on the ground in Chile.
The delivery of all the required elements from one source in the United States enabled Tecno Truss to set up its operation quickly and begin commercial production of steel wall frames and steel trusses once the training was complete.
The Result
Tecno Truss is aware of the commercial challenge that involves introducing new technologies into a market that is dominated by wood construction and traditional masonry. But working with Scottsdale Construction Systems has enabled Tecno Truss to supply steel frames and trusses for local projects and is successfully changing the way they build in Chile.
