It is no secret that our Knudson by Scottsdale KFS Framemaker family of roll formers, including 1622G1 model, are loaded with cold-formed steel automation features. Two of the standard features, included with each KFS Framemaker model are end shearing and flange dimpling for screw connections. End shear mechanism terminates the light-gauge steel stud or track based on the input on the computer controls entered directly, or transmitted through a design integration plug-in, such as Strucsoft MWF. Flange dimpling is a powerful framing automation feature, especially for panelizing and offsite construction, as it positions the screw precisely in the location on the member as required by the design, assuring precision and performance.
