Scottsdale Construction Systems includes a decoiler with each of its roll forming machines and steel framing systems. Depending on the equipment selected, the decoiler will have either 3,300 lb (1,500 kg), 4,500 lb (2,040 kg), 6,500 lb (2,950 kg), or 10,000 lb (4,500 kg) capacity. This video illustrates loading of coil onto our 3,300-lb decoiler used for our Scotpanel/Scottruss series of equipment. As can be seen from this particular video, the coil mounting operation on our 1,500-kg decoiler is very simple, since the device is equipped with the mechanism allowing for the mounting wheel to be lowered, mount the ground-supported coil, and then lift back up into the position, thus eliminating the need for forklifts, gantry cranes, slings and other auxiliary accessories and steps.
