LETTER FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Welcome to the 3rd edition of The Edge. Once again our focus over the last 6 months has been working with our customers at how they can improve “Profitability Per Metre”. This can be in any of stage of the business cycle from design and engineering, machinery operation, factory workflow and materials purchase. We have a lot of experience and IP from both our own fabricating business AFS and our global network of fabricators that we can make this available to customers.  We are slowly turning the conversation from a discussion about the machine size to how our customers can be more profitable.

In this update we are profiling two of our people. One of our veterans, Scott Kimble and one of our newest recruits, Ashley Lightfoot. Scott, our Operations Director has been with us for over 10 years and Ashley based in South Africa joined us as part of our support team in July.   We are finally reaching the end of a number of key projects. Our brand new 2mm heavy gauge machine is being shipped to Ireland, our Management Dashboard is in final stages of testing, our integration with MWF for Revit users is complete and moving into production and our September update release with these features will be available next week. All of these details included in this update.  

We are also doing a quick profile of the Loreta IV project from Nova Fusion who is one of our fabricators in Argentina, South America. This will be the largest apartment building made of LGS in the region and one of the biggest in Argentina.

  Lastly we have included some news bite stories on “Using Screws vs Rivets” and the “Fully certified stacking rack” used by AFS to increase their storage capacity in the yard by up to 50%.   As always we welcome the opportunity to get in contact so we can better understand your company’s strengths and weaknesses, meaning we can develop strategic recommendations specific to your company.
