Multi-Family Steel Framing Development by Jown Group in Congo
Jown Group Provides Housing Development with Steel Framing in Congo
This three-level, multi-family residential project in the Democratic Republic of Congo demonstrates how cold-formed steel framing can be used to address housing shortages quickly and efficiently. Delivered by Jown Group, the development consists of multiple residential blocks designed to maximize build speed, structural reliability, and repeatability. By adopting light-gauge steel as the primary structural material, the project achieved consistent quality across every block while significantly reducing the labor intensity typically associated with traditional construction methods.
The steel framing for the project was fabricated using a Scotpanel 7090 roll forming machine, enabling precise, factory-controlled production with minimal onsite labor requirements. This approach allowed Jown Group to deploy a scalable construction model with predictable costs and timelines, critical factors in regions facing acute housing demand. The project highlights how our advanced roll forming technology and cold-formed steel framing deliver practical, numbers-driven solutions for multi-family residential developments, particularly where efficiency, speed, and workforce optimization are essential.
