In this webinar, Scottsdale’s software team introduces the latest features developed to make the connected workflow from design to fabrication of CFS framing even more efficient. Software release V3014 updates include production support for all standard tooling on KFS Framemaker and KFD Framemaker roll forming machines, a unique frame identifier carried across design and roll forming data, additional frame information within IFC exports, and configurable back-to-back separation for CFS trusses.
The software release V3014 also introduces greater flexibility in managing production data, including CSV-based frame selection for export to ScotRF, the addition of frame type information to CSV exports, and an enhancement to the truss CSV screw counts. These developments further strengthen the connection between Scottsdale’s design, engineering, and manufacturing tools, giving our users greater control over project data as designs move from the digital model right to the roll forming machine.
Scottsdale’s integrated software suite connects cold-formed steel design, engineering, and production to create a streamlined workflow from initial modeling through roll forming. ScotSteel enables users to design and model CFS walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, trusses, and other framing systems in 2D and 3D, while helping identify potential design issues before fabrication. ScotStruct complements the design process with advanced structural analysis, including checks for loads, walls, openings, connections, bracing, and other structural requirements. Together with ScotRF, which communicates production data directly to Scottsdale roll forming machines, the software suite helps reduce manual data transfer, increases productivity and maintain consistency from design through fabrication.
