The partnership between Scottsdale Construction Systems and Velent Steel Structures brings together advanced roll forming machines, precision steel framing manufacturing, and modern light-gauge steel production workflows. From the outset, Velent set out to build a forward-thinking steel framing fabrication operation grounded in proven technology, comprehensive training, and a seamless path from design through production. With Scottsdale’s equipment, integrated software ecosystem, and industry expertise, Velent entered the steel framing market with confidence and scaled its manufacturing capabilities with precision.

Founded by Kyle McGuire in Centerton, Arkansas, Velent demonstrates how the right partnership enables success in steel framing manufacturing. By combining light-gauge steel expertise with Scottsdale’s integrated approach, Velent has created a production facility designed for accuracy, speed, and long-term growth in steel framing.

Roll Forming Machines Driving Steel Framing Manufacturing

Velent’s facility is equipped with four Scottsdale roll forming machines: the Scotpanel 7090G2, Scotpanel 5140G2, Scottruss 6050G1, and FrameExtend24. Together, these systems form a complete steel framing manufacturing solution. Each machine plays a specific role, ensuring Velent can deliver high-quality steel framing for residential, commercial, agricultural projects, and more.

Scotpanel Roll Forming Machines

The Scotpanel 7090G2 supports low-rise to mid-rise construction and is ideal for producing 3.5-inch C-sections. It fabricates light-gauge steel members for load-bearing and non-load-bearing wall panels, partitions, and curtain walls. Its compact footprint also makes it suitable for mobile or containerized steel framing manufacturing setups to accommodate onsite construction as well as offsite and prefab construction. Scotpanel 7090 can also be used to fabricate light-gauge steel roof trusses and floor joists.

The Scotpanel 5140G2 expands production capability with 5.5-inch C-sections. Designed for residential and commercial buildings up to five stories, it supports modular and prefab construction. This system allows Velent to deliver consistent steel framing components while maximizing efficiency through Scottsdale roll forming machines. Scotpanel 5140 can fabricate load-bearing and non-load-bearing wall panels, curtain walls, partition walls, roof trusses, floor joists, and more, all from one roll forming machine.

FrameExtend24 Roll Forming Machine

FrameExtend24 further elevates steel framing precision by creating extension sleeves from C-sections. By reducing web and flange dimensions by 0.1 in., FE24 enables telescoping studs and boxed beam assemblies. This solves real-world installation challenges and reduces waste in steel framing manufacturing for wall and ceiling contractors. FE24 is a great addition to steel framing fabrication and complements Scotpanel 5140 and 7090 roll forming machines.

Advanced Light-Gauge Steel Truss Fabrication

The Scottruss 6050G1 adds structural versatility by producing 2-inch hat-sections for roof trusses, floor joists, mezzanines, and panelized roof and floor systems. This machine supports residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, making it a key asset in Velent’s steel framing manufacturing strategy. By integrating seamlessly with Scotpanel systems, the Scottruss enhances overall steel framing capability using light-gauge steel, allowing Velent to expand its project portfolio.

Software Integration Behind Steel Framing Manufacturing

Training at Velent covered every stage of production, from machine calibration to punch-location control and software integration. Scottsdale’s ScotSteel, ScotStruct, and ScotRF software transform architectural models into ready-to-install steel framing systems. This digital workflow ensures roll forming machines operate as part of a unified steel framing manufacturing ecosystem.

The result is fewer on-site surprises, reduced material waste, and faster project delivery. Velent’s ability to translate 3D designs into manufactured light-gauge steel panels and trusses highlights the power of integrated technology in steel framing.

Why Velent Stands Out in Steel Framing Manufacturing

With Velent’s range of roll forming machines, they can serve a wide range of steel framing to their customers and build almost any light-gauge steel framing structure. Velent is able to bid for multiple jobs from low-rise to mid-rise construction, residential to commercial, and beyond. Light-gauge steel provides non-combustibility, resistance to termites and mold, and minimal waste, all while supporting faster construction timelines. Strategically located in Arkansas, Velent can ship steel framing components nationwide, extending the reach of its steel framing manufacturing operation.
